Visit the Campus Inclusion Center’s American Exhibit celebrating summer events, holidays [July 4, Labor Day] national pride and the best of the USA. August 7 is National Purple Heart Day which honors and remembers current and former U.S. Armed Forces members who were wounded or killed in action. It also commemorates the day in 1782 when General George Washington established the Purple Heart, the oldest military medal in the United States.
