What's Coming in July
In our upcoming edition of Policy Perspective, State Representative Lois Landgraf (House District 21) shares her views of her first legislative session in office. She also discusses the bills she considers her greatest contributions in the session including one enforcing laws against 'designer drugs.'
PLAY with the Rockies at Coors Field!
The Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society and The Arc Arapahoe & Douglas Counties present the PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) Campaign at Coors Fiels on July 25th! The PLAY Campaign combats child obesity and promotes healthy living and decision making among young people in America through interaction with Major League Baseball players, trainers and staff. 2014 Colorado Health Symposium
"One of the leading national health policy conferences in the country, the Colorado Health Symposium is a unique chance to interact with many of the leading experts in health and health care."  This year's theme is "Health Transformed: The Power of Engagement."  The Sympsoium is sold out, but you can still participate through social media! Our instructors have started another class at an Arvada day program run by the Developmental Disability Resource Center (DDRC).  If you are interested in learning more about these exercise and nutrition classes please visit our website or contact Alexandra Andrews.
Wellness Committee Members Needed!
The Wellness Committee formed this past spring and has brought together people from day programs, community centered boards, medical students, advocacy agencies, and a legislative aid. We are hoping for input from people with disabilities, family members, doctors, pharmacists, dentists, nutritionists, and any other committed to the health and wellness of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Upcoming Webinar

Medicaid Dental Benefits
