Midnight Breakfast is an annual fall semester tradition that invites students to take a break from studying for final exams to enjoy some food and fun! This year will feature a week of virtual events for the entire GW community, from game nights and yoga, to cooking demonstrations and a celebrity chef!

Join HEA doctoral student Irina Orlova (GWSB’s Program Director of Strategic Initiatives) and Dr. Rick Jakeman, Associate Professor of Higher Education Administration, for a 45-minute discussion of Irina’s research on this topic. Her dissertation research surveyed international college students to understand the relationship between student organization membership and students’ career self-efficacy (that is, their confidence in decisions on selecting a career).

In this session, Professor Youmans will teach you how to make SPINACH PIES while giving a lecture about the influence of Arabic language on English. There are many Arabic loan words in the English language, such as Algebra, just to take one. How did these words originate and travel, changing pronunciation?
