Hello all,
As women, we have learned that great things do not come easy. It took 70 years for white women to achieve the right to vote, and even longer for Native American, Asian American, and African American women. The tenacity women demonstrated a century ago has paved the way for so many other significant achievements—including sitting in board rooms, going to outer space, and serving as leaders in government.
Yet we still have so much more to accomplish. Some of you can be proud of becoming “firsts” yourselves, and so many of you still have the opportunity. Let’s get going!
One of my proud achievements is to have been named the first African American president of the Financial Women of San Francisco. Thank you for this opportunity to make women’s “herstory” right now in 2020.
The event is free. However, we would welcome donations to the scholarship fund, to maintain our support for the next generation of women.
Again, I hope you will register for one of the events. We would love to have you.
Thank you,
Olivia Barbee
President, FWSF

Get involved! Join a Committee
Women who join Financial Women of San Francisco are doers. We thrive on making an impact – by serving on FWSF committees, taking on special projects, or leading important initiatives. By volunteering our time, we advance the FWSF mission and deepen our relationships with other remarkable women in finance.
We encourage you to join a FWSF committee that matches your interests, talents or aspirations. As a volunteer-run organization, we rely on your efforts to keep FWSF an essential source of insight and inspiration to financial women in the Bay Area. Click here to learn more!
If you are interested in stepping up your engagement with FWSF and want to hear more about how you can get involved on a committee, please email us at info@FinancialWomenSF.org.
