Culminating Project Info Session

We will be hosting two info sessions designed for first year students to better understand the various culminating projects. (Second year students can disregard this.) Please RSVP!

Full Time Equivalency

International students who are registered for less than 12 credits during their final semester must apply for OGS part-time enrollment.

Other students who need full time equivalency for loan repayment purposes should complete the Full Time Equivalency form and submit the completed form to MCC.Graduate@nyu.edu for approval.

If you plan on graduating this May, the deadline to apply for graduation is February 15, 2024 (It takes just a minute to apply!) Learn more about the Steinhardt graduation ceremony and commencement, and special instructions for international visitors.

Media Lab x Professional Writing Seminar

Passion and Perseverance: a Conversation with Attorney & NYU Alum Alycia Guichard (BS'01)

Media, Culture, and Communication alum Alycia Guichard (BS '01) shares her transformative journey – evolving from a ward of the state in the NYC foster care system to interning under the guidance of Sonia Sotomayor and a career as a corporate attorney – and reflects on resilience, the power of mentorship, and ways to chart a meaningful existence.

Track the progress made towards each skill-based achievement, and then later show off these skills when applying for jobs or internships!

Katherine Puntiel '24

Katherine's thesis project has been selected as a finalist for the Polish International Film Festival, under the advisement of Professor James Wahutu. Congrats, Katherine!

MCC Media Lab Administrator

We are thrilled to welcome Leonard Santos BS '19, MA' 21 (he/him) as the department's new Media Lab Administrator. Leonard oversees the daily operations of the MCC MediaLab and organizes creative technology workshops for students, manages the Lab's Equipment Rental Program, and oversees the Lab Assistants in the MCC MediaLab Team. He also is a double alumni of the program, holding a B.S. and M.A. in Media, Culture, and Communication. Previously, Leonard also served MCC as a Visiting Assistant Professor and was an NYU Master in Residence in Weber Shandwick’s Technology and DEI teams. Outside of this role, Leonard instructs students in practice-based digital media courses as an Adjunct Professor while pursuing an M.S. in Data Analysis and Visualization with an Advanced Certificate in Interactive Technology and Pedagogy from the CUNY Graduate Center.
