Door County 4-H Newsletter |
Hello Door County 4-H Families and Volunteers!
It's hard to believe we are already halfway through November! I know that the next few months are often busy for many families. I hope that you are able to find some time to relax and enjoy the last few months of 2025! This newsletter has some information on events that are coming up this week and in the upcoming weeks, and a lot of State 4-H opportunities that are available to youth. Be sure to check it all out!
Additionally, I know there are a few of you who have not yet re-enrolled in 4-H for this year but are planning to do so. Please do that as soon as possible! We will be updating our contact lists in the next two weeks and anyone who is not yet re-enrolled will be removed. And be sure to pay your Club Dues to your 4-H Leader. Dues are $3.50/member (Including Cloverbuds) or $10.00/Family of 3 or more.
If you are new to Door County 4-H - welcome, we are so happy you are here! This email newsletter is one of the main ways that I share information with Door County 4-H families, but you will also receive emails from 4HOnline occasionally with information. If you have questions about 4-H, please be sure to reach out!
Thanks,
Candis Dart

Volunteer Enrollment Information:
A huge thank you to all of our 4-H Club Leaders and Volunteers - we could not do this without you! A few notes for anyone interested in being a volunteer for Door County 4-H:
-All returning volunteers need to re-enroll in 4HOnline and have all background checks and trainings complete by December 1st. This is to help ensure that all adults working with youth are approved volunteers and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our 4-H members and our volunteers!
-Volunteer trainings have been updated! There is now one required training for all new and returning volunteers that must be completed each year. This can be accessed in your 4HOnline account. If you need a paper version, please reach out to the Extension Office. If you watch the training with a group, please let Candis know so that we can ensure all volunteers get credit for completing their trainings. ***If you complete the training and encounter an issue, please let Candis know before taking the training again.***

Wisconsin 4-H Thriving Survey |
|
|
|
Watch your email inbox (the one you use with 4H Online) for your link to participate in the Wisconsin 4-H Thriving Survey! Youth ages 13-18 will receive a link to share your input about your 4-H experiences. The results will help us evaluate and communicate how 4-H helps young people to learn new things, develop leadership skills, manage goals, set high personal standards, create positive academic attitudes, and other skills that lead to long-term success in life.
The survey was sent to all Wisconsin 4-H members by e-mail in the first week of November and reminders have been sent as well. The survey link will be open until December 5. Youth who complete the survey will be entered into a raffle to win a $25 gift card. Fill out the survey to help Door County achieve a 30% response rate.
For more information on the 4-H Thriving Model, please visit 4-H Thriving Model – Wisconsin 4-H
Watch for your link in email and help us tell the story of 4-H in Door County!
