Meet our new Dean of Education!
We are very excited to announce our new Interim Dean of Education, Kim Andersen.
Kim comes to SCA with a vast wealth of experience after retiring in 2018.
She has worked at Clover Park School District, the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, was the Dean of Students/Vice President in the Federal Way School District, worked in administration in the Orting School District and has done adjunct teaching work at Green River, Highline and Tacoma community colleges.
She also has classroom experience in the Kent, Puyallup, University Place, Stanwood-Camano Island, Orting, Federal Way, Edmonds, Central Kitsap and Auburn school districts.
Kim is replacing Mary Neff, who was the Dean of Education for one year before returning to the public school sector.
Kim has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and a Master's of Education degree from Seattle Pacific.
