WITH GRATITUDE Every year on Nov. 11, the United States celebrates Veterans Day, marking the anniversary of the armistice that ended the fighting of World War I. Early on that day in 1918, the Germans met the Allies near Paris to formalize the truce, set to begin at 11 a.m. Paris time—the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. To the more than 19 million American veterans, and to all members of the Logger family who have served in the military, thank you.
