TCU Executive Chef Michael Smith has created an Arnold Hall café menu that will be served exclusively to our faculty, staff and students. He says, "I want you to close your eyes, take a bite and be transported to the Amalfi Coast." The cafe, Piadina, is named after the rustic Italian flatbread sandwich, which can be filled with a variety of meats, cheeses and vegetables. The menu consists of several customizable items including three salads, Italian subs and Pizzetas. In addition to the freshly made items provided daily by Sodexo, Black Rooster Bakery items such as muffins and breakfast pies will be available as well as Peet's Coffee. Recently, a small group of students and staff tasted some of the cafe offerings and all were impressed by the taste and variety. While there will be gluten-free and vegetarian options, please note that this will not be an allergy-free kitchen. The café is scheduled to open mid-June and will operate from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
