10 Important Considerations When Evaluating a New or Existing Nonprofit Logo
Is your logo hitting these 10 marks?
Dear Friend,
We’re human. We have gut feelings, preferences, likes and dislikes, and even crazy, wild and absurd ideas. There is room for all of these things in design—as long as there’s also plenty of room for specific design criteria and established strategy.
I believe every great logo has 10 specific traits:
  1. Simple
  2. Memorable
  3. Perfectly executed
  4. Meaningful
  5. Unique
  6. Impactful
  7. Authentic
  8. Sophisticated
  9. Fresh
  10. Flexible
I explain these in more detail (and provide real-life examples!) in my latest article, 10 Important Considerations When Evaluating a New or Existing Nonprofit Logo (originally posted at NonprofitMarCommunity.com).
If you need help creating a logo that hits all of these marks, I’m ready to help.
Happy holidays!

Simple tweak could nearly double the amount you give to charity
Although overhead should not be an important factor in a donation decision, a recent news article in the online journal Science tells us that when it comes to donating to charities like the American Red Cross, donors want to know how much overhead they’re paying for. Fortunately, researchers have shown there's a way to boost donations in spite of 'overhead aversion' - by using a little psychology.
