February District Leader Newsletter
February District Leader Newsletter

Dear Leader,

Happy Valentine's Day! We truly appreciate the work you do each day to give thousands of students across the country the chance to build their confidence and share their story. We'd be lost without you.
In this month's leader newsletter, we share a few rules reminders and district tournament annoncements. Check it out below!
QUICK LINKS

Rules Reminders

House Qualifiers » The increased number of qualifiers from the House applies to all districts, even if you are not running the pilot qualification rules. A chart for establishing chamber sizes for the 2019 National Tournament is available on page 60 of the High School Unified Manual.

Big Questions Qualification Method » If you are running Big Questions at your district tournament, you must use the same qualification method as your other debate events. For example, if you are using the double down method for LD, CX, and PF, you must use double down for BQ. If you're running the debate pilot rules, you must run the pilot for BQ.

Video: All About Districts

In this new collection of videos, we introduce the district tournament series, take viewers behind the scenes, and answer frequently asked questions about eligibility, requirements, and more. Feel free to share these videos with coaches in your district!
