And the Winners Are.....Congratulations to our State Educator of the Year winners! These individuals were selected for their work fostering critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills in the field of speech and debate education. Stay tuned! On March 2, National Speech and Debate Education Day, one of these coaches will be named the 2018 NSDA National Educator of the Year! Winners from the following 32 states will be considered for the national award:
Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Board of Directors UpdatesMeeting Minutes » The NSDA Board of Directors met September 28 through October 1 in West Des Moines, Iowa. To view meetings minutes and important updates for coaches, click here. Election Year » Time is running out to declare your cadidacy! If you are a member coach with five years of NSDA coaching experience, a current or past district chair, or a present Board member whose term expires on July 31, 2018, consider running for the national Board of Directors!
To declare your candidacy, please notify the Executive Director in writing before January 19, 2018, by certified mail. Each candidate is also alloted one Rostrum column, unedited by the national office, to support their candidacy. Statements are due January 19. 2018. For details, click here.

Did You Know You Can Customize Reports? On your blue account navigation bar, you can SEARCH RECORDS such as a member's full name or merit ID, a school name, or a district name, and also find MEMBERSHIP REPORTS like District Standings, Largest Schools, Diamond Coaches, and Academic All Americans.

Don’t forget you can customize the reports by filtering (typing in the box at the top of each column in the report) or sorting (clicking the title of each column to sort in ascending or descending order).
