TWU students,

After great thought and consideration, University administration has decided to move classes online for the remainder of the spring 2020 semester. Information about clinical experiences and internships is located on the University's COVID-19 Information webpage. Following President Trump's address yesterday, this decision was made to protect the health and safety of the Bulldog family. Faculty remains dedicated to serving you and continuing to provide an engaging learning environment.

Residence halls will remain open should you wish to stay on campus. We understand the speed at which these decisions are being made and that you may need time to properly check-out. For students checking out of residence halls, please check out with an RA by 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 29. Should you be unable to do this, please contact Dean Mashburn. Dining services will continue to operate, as stated on the University website.

Class of 2020, your success still deserves to be celebrated. Celebrations cannot stop, especially during times like these. However, we have to continue to monitor the quickly evolving situation with COVID-19. Since commencement is scheduled for May, we don’t want to make decisions about alternate plans until closer to the date. This includes all commencement activities: Senior Brunch, Nursing Pinning, Baccalaureate, etc. My advice is to not make major travel plans for that weekend. We will continue to communicate plans as they develop.

Convocations, chapels and service hour requirements will be waived for the spring 2020 semester. Please enter all of your service hours as soon as possible so we can continue to keep track of your servant leadership.

Questions continue to arise during this time, and we want you to know that campus leaders are in constant communication to answer those questions. Please continue to visit the University’s dedicated webpage for the most current information to answer your questions.
