DRI IS TURNING 60!

Brittany Kruger in the lab
On March 23rd, 1959, the Nevada State Legislature passed NRS396.7951, creating a division of the University of Nevada system specifically devoted to conducting research.
From this legislative action, a small group of farsighted scientists, academic leaders, and entrepreneurs created the Desert Research Institute.
Starting this month, join us in celebrating 60 years of scientific discovery and innovation—we'll be sharing special anniversary content and hosting community events that highlight where we've been and where we're headed in the next 60 years!
