Your Spring 2022 Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Status:

DISQUALIFIED

WHY:

You have attempted the maximum number of units for your program. Read more about SAP here.

WHAT THIS MEANS:

You will not receive Pell Grant, Cal Grant, and/or loans for spring 2022.

WHAT TO DO:

If you have attempted less than 90 units: Update your degree objective with Admissions and Records to an associate degree, or
If over 90 units have been attempted: follow the steps below to receive a Comprehensive Educational Plan and Excessive Unit Discount form, and submit your appeal at cypresscollege.verifymyfafsa.com.

HOW TO SUBMIT AN APPEAL:
1. Go to the Student Verification Website (cypresscollege.verifymyfafsa.com). 
2. Log in using your myGateway credentials (student ID and password).
3. Complete the Online SAP Appeal Form. 
(If you do not see a Spring 2022 SAP Appeal Form, please reply to this email with your student ID number so we may add one for you.)
4. Upload your current Comprehensive Educational Plan provided by an academic counselor*.

5. Upload the Excessive Unit Discount form also provided by an academic counselor*. 
6. (For competitive Health Science majors only) Upload a copy of your formal acceptance letter into the program.
*Both the Comprehensive Educational Plan and the Excessive Unit Discount Form are provided by academic counselors. You may request them by completing the online form. An academic counselor will review your transcripts and provide the necessary items. You will be contacted upon completion or if they have any questions.

Please note: SAP appeals are processed in the order they are received. Your appeal should be processed within one week from the day you submit it.

Last day to submit a spring 2022 SAP appeal: April 29, 2022.

WHAT ABOUT THE CALIFORNIA COLLEGE PROMISE GRANT (CCPG)?

CCPG is not affected by SAP; it has it's own requirements.
