A Few Ways for Retired Faculty to Stay Engaged With Duke |
A panel discussion hosted by Duke’s Office for Faculty Advancement highlighted several ways retired and emeriti faculty can stay involved in the university community. Opportunities include teaching interdisciplinary seminars in the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program, offering lectures or workshops through the Duke Prison Engagement Initiative, and leading or taking courses with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Duke. A proposed emeriti college is also in development to support continued teaching, advising and engagement.
