Lucy Institute summer interns drive data innovation to inform community and industry challenges

This summer, 65 students from Indiana, India, and beyond assembled at the University of Notre Dame to refine their skills in data analysis by tackling complex societal challenges as part of the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society’s summer internship program.
The internship is an immersive eight-week program designed to ignite innovative data science research projects for undergraduate students.

Volunteer as a student mentor for the Health Equity Data Science Challenge!

We are looking for graduate students who are passionate about advancing health equity to serve as mentors for teams of undergraduate students for the Health Equity Data Science Challenge (Oct 7-Nov 15).
Mentors should be proficient in at least one data science programming language (ex. Python, R) and the expected total time commitment is ~5 hours, with optional participation in the closing reception and celebration. This is a great opportunity to guide students in exploring open research questions with real-world datasets.
