Director's Message
We have all been impacted in various ways by the COVID-19 pandemic. The importance of protecting the campus community has inspired the transition to online instruction, campus departures, and remote work activities. Notwithstanding these changes, faculty and staff continue to support students through virtual and alternative formats.
This also holds true for ACE. We remain steadfast in our commitment to assisting underrepresented students on their path to graduate and professional school. Also, we are committed to celebrating the activities of our scholars and alumni, and highlighting the participation of our faculty partners.
These are the aims of this newsletter. In this edition, we celebrate seniors John Lopez and Courtney Spears, who will begin graduate studies this fall. We recognize alum Isabella Powers who is approaching the end of her graduate program at Columbia, and highlight our annual faculty and student mixer. Finally, above, we picture our student staff as a way to say, "Thank you." Apart from them, much of our work would not be possible.
