Reparations as Racial JusticeProfessor Eric Miller will lead a conversation with a panel of experts as they discuss recent innovations in promoting transformational racial justice through reparations at the state and local level. The panelists will discuss the future of reparations in the context of legislation and litigation. Miller developed a new legal theory using Oklahoma's public nuisance statute to demand reparations for the 105-year-old survivor and descendants of victims of the Tulsa Race Massacre. He now serves as co-counsel of record in Lessie Benningfield Randle et al. v. City of Tulsa et al. (filed Sep 1, 2020). His latest scholarship on the topic of reparations, Republican, Rebellious Reparations, appears in the Howard Law Journal. More>>

TRANSACTIONAL NEGOTIATION TEAM FINALS TO BE LIVESTREAMED
Save the Date: The Transactional Negotiation Team finals will be livestreamed from 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14. During the event, the two student finalists will negotiate a mock deal in front of practicing attorneys. After the negotiation ends, the attorneys provide live feedback to the students, confer briefly in private and declare a winner. Streaming information will be shared in this space when available.

Spring 2021 Community Check-in SurveyAll members of the LLS community are invited to participate in the newest Community Check-in Survey. These instruments have provided a snapshot of how the university has been doing over the past year. The third community check-in survey will be open March 15-26. The surveys will continue to assess our virtual campus, sense of belonging and perceptions of the university related to COVID-19 and racial justice.
