• Complete the required forms

The First-Year Notebook includes vital information about what your child can expect as a new student at Denison. Please encourage your student to complete the required forms in this notebook (look for peach colored pages). Of particular importance is the health form which is due as early as March 15, or within 30 days from the date your student received their MyDenison username and password (which is included in the front pocket of their First-Year notebook). A full list of forms and their respective deadlines can be found on the First-Year Program web section, and on Page 5 of the First‑Year Notebook.

• Check Denison email frequently

Your student will receive an email login address and credentials in the front pocket of the First-Year Notebook. Denison faculty and administrators will communicate regularly with your student via Denison email, so it is important for students to get into the habit of checking their Denison email Inbox frequently.

Resources for Denison Family Members

As the parent of an incoming student, a copy of the Family Resource Guide will be mailed to you for your reference. As a companion piece to the First-Year Notebook your student received, this guide holds many valuable tools for you and is meant to be a resource for you throughout your student’s career at Denison. We hope discussions about life at Denison will emerge as you review this guide and your student reviews their First-Year Notebook.

This summer, we will contact you with more information and tips to help you prepare your student for the life-changing experience of living and learning at Denison.
