This week, you have the opportunity to Get to Know AI through a workshop at the Hesburgh Library. You'll see how use tools like ChatGPT work, and how Generative AI uses your data. The workshop also covers key terms you may not know - and shows you AI capabilities beyond your standard chatbots.

Open to all faculty, staff, and students, these sessions will provide valuable insights into the role of generative AI in both everyday life and within our University. Whether you’re curious about AI’s potential or eager to explore its applications, there’s something for everyone. 

October marks Cybersecurity Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to brush up on all the best practices for recognizing and avoiding scams, strengthening password security, the benefits of multi-factor authentication (MFA), and so much more. 

Assignments for faculty and staff will be rolled out in October, and with it comes a new look for security awareness training! Modules will be a mix of word-on-screen, interactive and video elements, and will feature great information to help you navigate the evolving world of cybersecurity. Keep an eye out!

The ND IT Fellows Program has multiple openings for recent college graduates to develop and grow their professional career in Information Technology. No prior IT experience required!

The participants will perform meaningful professional work connected to ND IT priorities and strategies. Fellows are embedded in various IT teams across campus where they gain experience, knowledge and the practical application of IT concepts.

Beginning Saturday, October 5 at 6 a.m. through 8 p.m. (ET) Sunday, October 6, 2024, Office of Information Technology (OIT) systems engineers will perform various planned maintenance activities and upgrades.
