In our latest edition of Longwood from Home, we bring you new experiences, new beauty, and new possibilities. This week, learn more about the restoration, expansion, and transformation of our Orchid House opening this Saturday, February 26, watch two Members-only webinar recordings on winter beauty and seed starting, join us for our in-person Member Orientation and Member Appreciation Day in March, and much more!

Beauty in the Making

It’s almost time to share this extraordinary space with you. Ahead of our Orchid House reopening, hear from the experts and learn about what went into this thoughtful restoration and preservation project. Then join us this Saturday and Sunday as we celebrate the opening weekend with many opportunities for you to meet the brains behind the beauty and delve deeper into our orchid collection, research, and conservation.
Can’t join us opening weekend? We invite you to explore our restored Orchid House during your next—and every—visit.
Winter Interest, Discovered
If you were unable to join us for our January 25 Members-only webinar, A Winter Garden's Beauty with our Senior Horticulturist Amy Bloom (or if you’d like to experience it again), we invite you to view this in-depth discussion about how a textured tapestry full of showy seedheads, snow-dusted conifers, colorful tree bark, and frosty flowers can all bring visual beauty and interest to the garden. Learn about how Longwood’s Hillside Garden incorporates texture, form, and color within a landscape that’s full of winter interest.
