Women's History Month - Pirate Spotlight |
This Women's History Month, we'd like to celebrate Linda Schaeffer ’73 (née Wlazlowski), a trailblazer and one of only two women in Seton Hall’s accounting program in 1970, who broke barriers in a male-dominated field with kindness and determination. After a groundbreaking career in forensic accounting, including founding her own firm, she remains active at Seton Hall, serving on the Stillman School of Business Dean’s Advisory Council. Inspired by her transformative IRS internship, she established the Schaeffer Excellence Endowed Fund to support student applied-learning opportunities. Today, Linda continues to mentor, give back, and embody her motto of kindness and resilience.
“My passion was law, but I did it in a different way. And, it was really Seton Hall that afforded me that opportunity, by giving me that, that internship at the IRS.”
- Linda Schaeffer ’73
