Dear Colleagues:
Our University is disbursing nearly $8 million in federal financial aid to eligible students.
These resources were provided to Ball State in the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II, part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, which was signed into law in late 2020.
As we did with similar funding in 2020, Ball State’s goal is to assist as many students as possible in accordance with federal guidelines. More than 9,000 eligible undergraduate and graduate students, including online students, currently enrolled at Ball State will receive between $500-$1,000 in one-time grants through this program.
Eligible students who do not have an outstanding balance with the University will have grant money refunded directly to them. Students who have a balance with the University received an email asking them to complete a simple form with an option to have the funds applied to their student account, or refunded directly to them.
We are grateful we are able to provide this vital aid to our students. We are committed to their success and their well-being. We believe these funds will help our students achieve their next step on their journey of lifelong learning.
