This newsletter will include information about the development of an amateur sports & recreation facility in the Great Lakes Bay Region, and a survey that will help in finalizing a feasibility study in consideration of the new facility. Calling all Ghouls and Ghosts!
Join us Saturday, October 26th from 5-7:00pm at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA for a spooky family-friendly event! Included in the festivities will be our Pumpkin Splash Patch*, Zombie Dodgeball, Costume Contest, Creepy Crafts, Track-or-Treat, a Haunted Bounce House, and more!
*Pumpkin Splash Patch quantities are limited. Participation will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Begins at 4:30pm in the pool.

Parent's Night Out Dates
From 5-9pm we will watch your kids and provide them with games, crafts, friends, and even pool-time! Pizza party is included at every Parents Night Out! Children aged 2 months to 12 years are welcome. Learn more and register here.

Teen After School ProgramJoin us for our new Teen After School Program taking place Tuesdays through Thursdays from 2:30 to 5:30pm at Bay City Central High School. The program is currently only open to Central students and takes place in the Media Center. Students can come for academic support, meet with friends, play games, explore career paths, swim and play sports. Contact Angie Buda at abuda@ymcabaycity.org or 989.895.8596 for more information.

Have a more active Snow Day Season
Register before October 31st to get our Snow Day Insurance! When you pay the one-time fee for the school year, you will receive quality childcare for up to 6 snow days. Kids who stay at the YMCA on snow days will enjoy our aquatics facility, play games on the gym floor, do arts and crafts, and enjoy spending time with their peers! Register at our website. Daily rates for snow day childcare are also available.

Join us for YMCA Basketball Academy (YBA) and YBA Hoopsters for the younger athletes! Both of these programs are aimed at teaching kids new sports skills and coordination, while also making them part of a team, meeting new friends, and gaining confidence! Learn more and register here.

Thank you for Participating in the 4th Annual Jeff Buczek Golf Outing!Jeff Buczek, a long time employee and friend of the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA, passed away in 2015. In honor of his life and love for his community, the YMCA hosts an annual golf outing in his memory. Proceeds from the outing will go towards free youth program scholarships in Jeff’s name at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA. A warm thank you from us to everyone who sponsored, donated, participated, and attended the 4th annual Outing.
