The Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society at the University of Notre Dame seeks an open-rank research professor (non tenure-track) with strong expertise and experience in AI, especially in large language models (LLMs), their responsible and inclusive use for a variety of use-cases.
The research faculty will be working closely with Nitesh Chawla, founding director of the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society and the Frank M. Freimann Professor of Computer Science and Engineering. The ideal candidate would have evidence of excellence in research as demonstrated by research publications in high impact venues and/or significant practical experience in industry that demonstrates development and deployment of technologies at scale.
