Meramec Elementary School
|
Meramec scholars had a special visitor this week! Herpetologist, Serengeti Steve, came to show scholars some reptiles and amphibians in his collection. This was an amazing opportunity for scholars to get firsthand and hands on experiences that will be used later to write an informative piece about an animal's characteristics and their classification. They will need to clearly state ideas, facts, and details throughout their writing. 4th and 5th grade scholars were excited to remind 3rd grade reading teacher, Mrs. Uhl, how they were able to apply many of the strategies they learned from her into their work. Even Principal Strong got in on the fun!
