Dear Friend:

As a long-suffering Royals fan, I hoped and prayed and wondered when I would be watching them play in October. I never dreamed it would be the same year I am running for the Kansas House and competing with them for voters’ attentions! It was a great run, and I’m so proud of how our community rallied around them and the positivity and class with which they (both the team and KC) held their heads high in defeat. 

Game 7

Since I announced my candidacy in late April, we are in the seventh month of the campaign. This is our Game 7. I’m at bat, advance voters are on deck. YOU are in the hole. Come Tuesday, you’ll be at the plate. I ask you to swing for the fence and vote Linda Gallagher for State Representative. 

Why?

I’m the best candidate for this position because I know this district and have been active in this community – not a special interest group. This is my home. If I lose, I’ll still be here – I won’t move on to another apartment in another swing district.

I’ve lived in this community for more than 30 years. Our girls went to Shawanoe, Trailridge, and Shawnee Mission Northwest, where I served in parent and booster organizations. I’ve been your Republican precinct committeewoman and a Girl Scout leader. We’ve run into each other at HyVee and the Lenexa July 4th parade – before I was a candidate, not just because I’m a candidate this year.
