How to Succeed in Classes While Dealing with COVID-19

As we continue dealing with COVID-19 and hopefully start to see the beginning of the end of this pandemic, 1,000 people are still infected daily in Utah. If you contract COVID-19 and develop severe symptoms, you may worry how it will impact your coursework this semester. Find below a list of things you can do to help relieve some stress and uncertainty if you’re currently dealing with COVID-19.

• Reach out to your professors via Canvas messages or email. Professors will be helpful and accommodating of those who are dealing with COVID-19.
• Go easy on yourself and practice some self-care while you’re dealing with COVID.
• Visit the University of Utah Coronavirus website to access resources, self-report, and find support options.
• View the Student Resource Guide for COVID-19 from the Student Union.
• Visit the Learning Center to access tutors for your classes.
• If you are still concerned about your ability to do well in your classes and achieve good grades, reach out to your academic advisor and consider opting in to pass/fail grading for this semester, which must be done by April 9th and can be reversed by April 23rd.
