We are excited to announce that our Master of Science in Nursing program is expanding again, adding two new areas of focus in Nursing Leadership in Healthcare Improvement and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. These new programs will join the well-established FNP, Nurse Educator, and Global Public Health Nursing options and meet demands for advanced practice nurses in today’s healthcare environment.

You can enroll in the PNP and Leadership focus areas starting this fall.

We celebrated 128 graduates at a Hooding and Pinning Ceremony on May 3. Of those graduating, 95 received a pin as they completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and 33 received a hood recognizing the completion of their Master of Science in Nursing. We are excited to see how God will use these recent graduates as they use nursing as a ministry for Jesus Christ.

As part of the Care of Children course in the B.S.N. program, nursing students participated in a two-hour poverty simulation in April. Through role playing exercises, the simulation experience represents a month living in poverty. The goal of the event is to teach students how to overcome bias toward individuals who live in poverty.  Additional poverty simulation experiences are planned for this summer.
