Vice President of Student Affairs & Dean of Students Sarah Comstock

Dean Comstock delivered remarks to families and parents of first-year students in late August. Whether you are a new or returning Logger family, you can view her remarks here for some words of wisdom about the start of the year. Here are some highlights:

Independence and Growth
Be prepared for your student to face challenges, make mistakes, and learn valuable life lessons. Encourage open communication so they feel comfortable seeking your guidance when needed.

Academic Expectations
Offer support by encouraging your student to establish good study habits and seek academic resources on campus. Remind them that it's OK to ask for help.

Challenging Choices
During college, some students may grapple with homesickness and face challenges, while others embrace their newfound freedom. When your student encounters difficulties, resist the urge to solve their problems for them and instead, provide guidance and support.

Meet the Board of Trustees

Puget Sound's Board of Trustees is made up of alumni, parents, and friends of the university. The board provides guidance, oversight, and policies to support Puget Sound's strategic plan. At their last meeting, the board elected five new trustees to three-year terms.

Join the entire Puget Sound community to celebrate Homecoming & Family Weekend! Cheer on our athletes, connect with old friends and new, attend classes and workshops, sample tastings from local Logger breweries and wineries, lace up your running (or walking) shoes for the annual 5K, and much more.
