RESEARCH HIGHLIGHT

Lake Powell Evaporation Station
Floating evaporation stations deployed at Lake Powell
A new collaboration between DRI and the Bureau of Reclamation aims to improve our understanding of evaporation from Lake Powell and other major reservoirs through the deployment of floating evaporation stations.
The end goal: to help scientists and water managers make accurate evaporation estimates using the best available science, at Lake Powell and elsewhere in the world.

IMAGE OF THE MONTH

DRI kicked off a year of 60th anniversary celebrations at the Institute's first ever Day at the Nevada State Legislature. The day-long event included several hands-on demonstrations of current research at DRI, a giant birthday card, recognition from the floor of the Senate, and a special proclamation from Assemblywoman Heidi Swank (pictured above).
Many thanks to all of the legislators, supporters, and members of the public who helped us celebrate!
