Kilcawley Center Ohio Room Renovation
The Kilcawley Center Ohio Room has a new look and is ready for you to hold your next meeting, luncheon, reception, or lecture. Guests may not even recognize the room, which for over 30 years featured a quilted wall hanging depicting the State Seal of Ohio. The room is now surrounded by new acoustical panels featuring a mural of photos from YSU’s past and present. It was designed by Ken Borowicz, Kilcawley Graphic Services designer. Archival images were provided courtesy of the University Archives, Maag Library. The overall look with new stonework, furnishings and finishes was a team effort between Summer Barker, university architect who guided the project, and the Kilcawley staff. The room is appointed with new state-of-the art lighting, and audio visual equipment to meet the needs of Kilcawley Center guests. The fine work was by general contractor Alex Downie and Sons Co.
