West View Rec Closed 12/19 Due to Power Shutoffs

Xcel Energy has informed the City that West View Recreation Center (10747 W. 108th Ave.) and a portion of homes in the Countryside and Meadowview Estates neighborhoods are expected to be included in their Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) beginning Friday, December 19, at 5 am.

Water Rates Effective 2026

To account for the increasing cost of repairing and replacing water mains and water treatment materials, water rates will be adjusted by 4% in 2026. City Council approved a two-year water rate adjustment in 2024, allowing residents to continue enjoying lower water bills when compared to 2021 bills. In 2026, the monthly water bill for the average resident will rise $3.47 per month in the winter when water consumption is at its lowest, and $6.14 per month in the summer when water consumption is at its highest.

Traffic Advisory: 88th Ave. and Lowell Blvd.

The intersection at 88th Avenue and Lowell Boulevard is currently closed through the end of December. The City will be installing new waterlines, and after close evaluation, closing the intersection was the best way to quickly complete the work.
