Everyone wins with Together Irish Community Commitment Initiative

The Blue-Gold Game is the one football matchup where the Fighting Irish are guaranteed to win and everyone leaves the stadium happy. That included a group of about 160 South Bend primary and middle school students who enjoyed the game as part of Notre Dame Athletics’ second annual Blue-Gold Community Commitment Initiative powered by Allstate.
Jay Brockman, director of the Lucy Civic Innovation Laboratory, within the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society, led the kids in two STEM activities available during the Blue-Gold game. “We do a lot of community outreach with Notre Dame Athletics. Today, we’re trying to show the kids the connections between data and sports and science and engineering.”

| Postdoctoral Fellowship in Responsible AI for Education
|
The Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society and Notre Dame Learning at the University of Notre Dame are partnering to seek candidates for a postdoctoral fellowship in responsible AI for education.
Responsibilities will include developing resources to help faculty and students adapt to teaching and learning in the age of AI tools, designing AI-enhanced pedagogical strategies, and contributing to the ethical use guidelines for AI in education.

The Global Democracy Conference is designed to connect academic research and non-academic audiences. It will be an annual forum that projects the University as a leader and convener on questions of democracy, while simultaneously facilitating a positive, tangible impact on global democratic practices.
