Annual Session Registration
Extended to Sunday Night!
Registration for in-person participation in Annual Session 2025 has been extended to Sunday night at 11:59pm. We're turning in our rooming list to Hood College on Monday morning, so this is your last chance to sign-up to attend as a commuter or as a residential participant in Frederick, MD.
As you are preparing for Annual Session, don't forget to check out the Annual Session information page on the BYM website, where new information is posted daily! It's your one-stop shop for All Things Annual Session. Packing and arrival instructions will be posted and emailed to registered participants next week. | BYM Camps Special Message Re: Flash Flooding Safety
In the wake of the horrific tragedy at Camp Mystic in Texas last weekend, BYM Camps sent a special message to all registered camper families about flooding protocols and inclement weather at our camps. None of the camper cabins or platform tents at BYM Camps are in floodplains - even in the event of historic-level flooding. Each camp has a flash flood protocol for in-camp and on the trail. Thank you to our amazing camp staff who work around the clock to keep our BYM Camps safe!

| Woolman Center Laid Down. Land Returned to Native Peoples
On June 30, Woolman at Sierra Friends Center in Nevada City, CA was laid down, and the land on which the school and center have operated since the 1950s became the property of the tribally guided non-profit representing the Rancheria Nisenan Tribe. The passing of the land from Friends to the Nisenan ends a 60-year experiment in Quaker education. For the Nisenan, it is a beginning of a new era as the Tribe returns to live on a parcel of their homeland stolen from them long before Quakers acquired it.
