Your UO Stream videos will move in August

Microsoft is transitioning the Stream (Classic) service to Stream (on SharePoint).

Microsoft Stream Transition Process

1. The new Stream (on SharePoint) experience already displays by default. You can check it out by visiting office.uoregon.edu, clicking the app launcher in the upper left corner, and selecting Stream. Or you can visit stream.microsoft.com and sign in with your UO credentials.
2. You can no longer upload videos to Stream (Classic) as of July 17.
3. We will move your videos from Stream (Classic) to Stream (on SharePoint) some time August 7–11. That process may take up to a day. During the migration, you won't be able to edit those videos. It may take a couple of hours for the videos to disappear from Stream (Classic) after appearing in Stream (on SharePoint). Note: Only critical metadata and permissions will migrate with videos.
   
4. Your videos will then behave like any other file type in SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. The videos will appear in a new "Stream migrated videos" folder in OneDrive or SharePoint, and will be searchable on SharePoint.
   
5. We will disable Stream (Classic) some time August 7–11, after moving all videos. Until then, you can still access Stream (Classic).
   
6. Links to Stream (Classic) videos will continue to work until February 15, 2025. So will Stream (Classic) videos embedded in other Microsoft apps or in UO SharePoint sites. However, we encourage you to update those links to the videos' new location in Stream (SharePoint) at your earliest convenience.
