Dear MNPS & Community Member:
Generally speaking, people do not want to show any sign of vulnerability because of its association with weakness. It is the funny feeling that, if somehow we become vulnerable, we lose leverage with others in our personal or professional dealings. However, from an experiential perspective we can argue there are also many positive aspects to embracing vulnerability. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we become more open to deeper connections with others, as it requires a level of trust and authenticity to share our true selves. Vulnerability also allows for personal growth, as we are able to acknowledge and work through our own limitations and struggles, thus enhancing our emotional resilience. Last, being vulnerable can lead to developing greater empathy and compassion for ourselves and others, leading to more meaningful relationships and a more fulfilling life.
Until next time!

Between March 1, 2023 and May 5, 2023, Conexión Américas is raising critical funds to support their work year-round through their biggest annual fundraiser, Cafecito.
Like so many in Nashville's Latino community, Karol came to this city with a dream and is working hard to achieve it.

| Conexión Américas believes that all people in our community deserve to reach their dreams, and supports thousands of newcomers like Karol each year in learning English, enrolling in college, launching a business or joining the workforce.
