Work is progressing steadily on the Grove Street home. The roof is on, and the windows and doors have been installed. Siding installation is still to come, but the home is quickly taking shape. While recent weather conditions have slowed progress on the job site, work has now shifted indoors and is moving forward in earnest. Thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers, steady progress continues as interior construction advances and the future home comes closer to completion.

At Habitat for Humanity-Clinton County, safety is a critical component of our work. It affects not only those involved in our day-to-day operations, but also our broader mission and vision.
We have worked hard to integrate safety into every aspect of our organization. Rather than treating it as simply a priority, we view safety as a shared operational focus that supports our goals of serving more families and increasing the engagement of volunteers and community partners. Maintaining clean, organized job sites is essential to preventing injuries and ensuring that work on each home progresses efficiently.
People are Habitat’s most valuable asset. We encourage and empower everyone to work safely each day and to speak up for the well-being of those around them. To support this commitment, Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) requires each affiliate to have a certified safety representative, known as a “Competent Person,” on staff. These individuals provide safety programming, resources, tools, and training that empower Habitat staff and volunteers to take a proactive approach to safety and risk management. This ongoing commitment helps reduce incidents and fosters continuous improvement as part of our safety culture.
While no construction site can completely eliminate the possibility of accidents or injuries, Habitat for Humanity-Clinton County is committed to doing everything possible to ensure that our volunteers and partner families leave each workday as healthy and safe as when they arrived.
