Message from the Associate Vice President
and Director of Extension

I had my annual visit to the Yuma Extension office and Yuma Agricultural Center last week. That's where I was when I gave my ED talk. It was great catching up on all the Extension programming in Yuma County and how the Agricultural Center and the Extension faculty and staff work together to address issues for stakeholders in the County. Although the county is heavily agriculturally based, it was also good to hear about the County's 4-H Youth and Family, Consumer and Health Sciences programs. At lunch, I had some time to visit with stakeholders who gave me some input about how we (the state office) can better serve their Extension programs in Yuma County and how impactful Extension's current programming is. I'm looking forward to visiting other county offices soon. I will be out for the next couple of weeks, but I have already arranged for guest writers for my TEN portions. We still have several open positions in Extension across the state; please continue to help us recruit qualified candidates for these positions.

The two-day, in-person program features over 50 speakers and presenters covering a diverse range of panel discussions, keynotes, and poster presentations. Day 1 will conclude with an evening reception where attendees can continue their conversations while enjoying some refreshments and a non-hosted bar. We invite you to join us to engage in robust solutions-focused discussions.
