Back to School: Fall Workshops Launch
across RTSWS Schools |
|
|
Fresh off the press! The
2024 Student & Volunteer Curriculum books are ready to equip our students with essential financial skills this fall.
|
|
This fall, RTSWS has launched its annual Financial & Investment Literacy Sessions, designed to equip high school girls with the financial knowledge and skills needed for success in the capital markets and beyond. These sessions, led by experienced female financial professionals, are part of our broader mission to close the gender gap in finance by inspiring young women to pursue careers in the industry.
Each student participates in one of four tailored project-based curricula—Green, Copper, Silver, or Gold—depending on their cohort’s needs and progression through the program. These interactive sessions focus on core financial concepts, such as saving, budgeting, investing, and understanding stock and capital markets. Students take on the role of financial advisors, guiding their fictional client, Janella Sims, through real-world financial decisions.
Over the course of four sessions this fall, participants not only gain essential financial literacy but are also introduced to various career paths in finance, providing them with practical skills and a clearer vision for their futures. These sessions build confidence and empower young women to take control of their financial lives, creating a foundation for long-term success.
We encourage supporters to stay engaged through volunteering or sponsoring. Your involvement plays a vital role in helping young women develop the tools they need to thrive in finance.

Visionary Voices Panel at Invesco Headquaters |
Recently, Maura Cunningham, Founder of RTSWS, joined John A. Hancock and Kyle Waide on the Visionary Voices panel, moderated by Elisabeth J. M. and Kara Kozik, CPA. The event was hosted by Invesco US and The Rising Career Network.
It was an inspiring opportunity to connect with driven young professionals. Invesco’s efforts to foster career growth through its network of over 500 members are commendable.
Special thanks to the Invesco team for organizing a fantastic event at Invesco Headquarters. The energy and engagement, both in-person and globally, made the event memorable. We look forward to supporting this group’s continued success.
Atlanta was filled with eager young leaders dedicated to learning and growth. Invesco’s Rising Career Network is making a significant impact by offering professional networking, leadership roles, mentoring, and career development opportunities.
