Puget Sound is proud to announce Coco Brandabur ’29 of Portland, Oregon, and Princess Akpotu ’29 of Delta, Nigeria, as the two newest recipients of the prestigious Matelich Scholarship. The Matelich Scholarship, established by George E. Matelich ’78 and Susan E. Matelich, is awarded to exceptional students who embody the university’s commitment to academic excellence, inspirational leadership, and community engagement. It covers tuition, fees, and room and board for up to four years.

The School of Music hosted its long-running annual Concerto-Aria Competition on Nov. 2. This year's winners are Ethan Chythlook ’26, who performed Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35, Mvt. I: Allegro Moderato and Levin Kapur ’28, who performed Otar Gordeli's Concerto for Flute and Orchestra, Op. 8. Abby Jennings ’27 was named the runner-up playing Mozart's Exsultate, jubilate, K. 165. The winners will perform with the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra in Spring 2026.

The Logger Women's Volleyball team and Logger Women's Soccer team both became Northwest Conference co-champions this weekend. The soccer team beat Whitworth in a decisive 1–0 shutout to tie Pacific Lutheran for first place in the conference, while volleyball cruised to a 3–1 victory over Whitman to tie Whitworth for first place in the conference.
