City Hall Experiencing System Outage

On Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, IT Professionals from the City of Wheat Ridge began proactively shutting down aspects of the City’s server after a cyber security incident was identified, rendering City Hall, many city services, email, and phones unavailable.

Currently, the City is working with a team of independent experts and federal agencies to investigate the matter and IT Professionals are working around the clock to restore operations safely. At this time, the City has no reason to believe personal employee, resident, or business information has been jeopardized.

The Wheat Ridge Police Department is fully operational, apart from accessing records. A group of Law Enforcement partners are investigating this cyber security incident. The City will continue to keep residents up to date as more information is learned.

For more information on impacted city services please click here.

The City is grateful for residents' patience as it works to restore regular operations. City Hall will remain closed through Friday, Sept. 2.

Wadsworth Improvement Project Graphic

Wadsworth Update

The contractor installed the new sanitary sewer system underneath Wadsworth from 3 Acre Lane to 48th Avenue. Water line and storm sewer work will continue through fall. After months of working on utility improvements underground, several things are taking shape above ground too. The contractor placed curb and gutter and asphalt paving in the 48th Avenue cul-de-sac east of Wadsworth. Extensive retaining wall work continues for the new Clear Creek Trail connection south of the eastbound I-70 on-ramp.

All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change. Schedule and traffic impact information is updated weekly at What's Up Wheat Ridge-Wadsworth. To receive traffic alerts about changes to traffic patterns and lane closures, subscribe to Traffic Alerts on Notify Me on the City website.
