Today is Military & Veteran Appreciation Day presented by Vitalant at the California State Fair. Active duty and retired service members receive free admission to the Fair. Free admission is also expanded to include Active Duty Spouses and Dependents until 3:00 p.m. (must show valid military ID).

11:00 a.m. - Opening Ceremony on the Coca Cola Promenade Stage
12:00 p.m. - The Ding-A-Lings perform on the Coca Cola Promenade Stage. The Ding-A-Lings is a bell ringing choir from the Veterans Home in Yountville. Great visuals and sound!
12:00 p.m. - CalVet MRE History in the Save Mart Cooking Theatre
12:30 p.m. - Children's Military Tribute in the Horse Arena
1:00 p.m. - Helicopter Flyover by the US Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco
1:30 p.m. - Military Tribute in the Horse Arena
1:45 p.m. - Airplane Flyover by the US Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento
3:00 p.m. - CalVet MRE Edible Art demonstration
6:00 p.m. - CalVet MRE Cooking Challenge in the Save Mart Cooking Theatre
All Day - Vanquishing the Invisible in Expo Building 7. This is a portrait exhibit featuring Twenty Northern California Women Veterans and their personal narratives.
