KCRA 3, the California Highway Patrol, and the CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive have been helping to make the holidays brighter for children in our community for over 15 years by collecting toys for the disadvantaged.
This year, the drop-off event kicks off on Friday, December 2, at Cal Expo from 6 am to 7 pm. Bring NEW, UNWRAPPED, toys to the Main Gate to donate.

Housewarming for the Unhoused

On Saturday, December 3, Sacramento Self Help Housing will be hosting its annual Housewarming for the Homeless Donation Drive at the Cal Expo Main Gate loop from 8 am – 12 pm.

SMUD Giving Monday is a chance to make a real difference in our community. Cal Expo and SMUD are committed to our community and have partnered again in 2022 to help Sacramento Loaves & Fishes do its exceptional and critical work supporting those who are food insecure in the Sacramento region. Bring non-expired, nonperishable items to the Main Gate at Cal Expo on Monday, December 12, between 7 am to 6 pm.

Foothills Christmas Trees are guaranteed fresh. All trees have been given a fresh base cut and are displayed in water stands. Help is available to load and tie your tree to your car.
