Gwinnett County Population Exceeds 1 Million |
Gwinnett County, like Fulton County, now has a population that exceeds one million people - and there are no signs to indicate that growth will slow down.
The transformation of Gwinnett Place Mall into Global Villages is needed now more than ever to help accommodate the fast paced growth Gwinnett is experiencing. Gwinnett Place CID took the charge in creating the Gwinnett Place Mall Revitalization Strategy and the County is working with CBRE to help make this vision a reality.

Gwinnett Place CID is proud to again sponsor the Metro Atlanta Redevelopment Summit (MARS), which returns on November 6, 2024 at Maison 6405.
MARS celebrates redevelopment around the region and brings together those who are passionate about it – from elected officials to planning and development experts – to learn and grow the community and help create a unique sense of place. If you have a planned or completed project - be it large or small - now is the time to submit your nomination.
The November event will feature an inside look at upcoming redevelopment projects, share industry trends, offer networking and share best practices from successful redevelopment projects in addition to the MARS Awards. Early bird ticket pricing ends October 1, so get your tickets today.

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners has taken a significant step toward improving mobility for residents.
The board recently approved a transit referendum to be placed on the November 5 General Election ballot. If approved by voters, a 1% sales tax to fund up to 75 transit projects in Gwinnett County will be imposed for 30 years.
The transit projects include an airport ride to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the expansion of micro transit providing 100% countywide coverage and more.
Watch Ryan the Transit Guy on the Gwinnett County website as he encourages you to learn more about the transit referendum ahead of the November 5 General Election.
