Managed by the Division of Graduate Studies, the Future Stewards Award provides two years of funding for master's, doctoral, and law students who are citizens of any federally recognized tribe, including the Chinook Nation, with priority given to Oregon tribes. The priority deadline is March 14, 2025, and applications are accepted through July 31, 2025.
The Steven R. Nelson Native Educator Scholarship strives to increase Native respresentation in the field of education by providing financial support, mentoring, and internships for Native students in the Northwest who are pursuing an advanced degree in education, education policy, leadership, technical assistance, research, or a closely related field.
The Oregon Tribal Student Grant provides funding for eligible Oregon tribal students to offset the cost of attendance at the UO. The 2025-2026 Oregon Tribal Student Grant Application will be opening by April 8, 2025.

Support: Teaching Engagement Program (TEP) GE Drop-in Office Hours
Bring your questions, share experiences, and problem-solve with TEP consultants. Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. in the Knight Library DREAM Lab or via Zoom.
Support: gradCAREERS Cover Letter, Résumé, and CV Review
The Division of Graduate Studies, through our gradCAREERS program, will review cover letters, résumés, and CVs that will be used for academic-adjacent or non-academic job or internship applications. Students will either receive feedback via email within seven business days OR be contacted for a brief advising appointment.
Funding: Oregon Humanities Center Dissertation Fellowship Program The Oregon Humanities Center (OHC) offers the Dissertation Fellowship in partnership with the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation. This fellowship program provides the fellow with a one-term research appointment to allow full-time work on the dissertation.
Deadline to apply: Monday, Feburary 3 at 4 p.m.
Funding: Oregon Humanities Center Graduate Research Support Fellowship The purpose of the Graduate Research Support Fellowship program is to stimulate humanities research and support graduate education by providing doctoral students with resources to assist with their doctoral research and the completion of their dissertations.
Deadline to apply: Monday, Feburary 3 at 4 p.m.
We have many funding opportunities with deadlines before the end of winter term. Awards range from $500 - $15,000. More details and qualification requirements are available on the division's Current Student Funding Opportunities webpage.

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) has a new webpage dedicated to Immigration Resources. The page will provide updates related to international, dreamer, and undocumented students, faculty, and staff.
There is also an upcoming Information and Support Session for International, Dreamer, and Undocumented Students, Faculty, and Staff on February 5 at 6:30 p.m. in Straub 156.

| Winter 2025 Degree Completion Deadlines
| |
|
March 22 - Official degree conferral date (the date of your degree as it will appear on your transcript and diploma).
March 23 - Instructor deadline for submitting winter grades (noon).
March 24 - Office of the Registrar begins awarding winter degrees.
March 24 - Address changes for the diploma must be made directly in DuckWeb by the student. (After finals week, students can contact the Office of the Registrar to check if their diploma has been ordered.)
March 31 - Last day for department to submit the statement of completion of requirements in GradWeb.
