| |
And the new Old Navy is now open at 3675 Satellite Blvd, next door to Burlington! As we dive into the fall season, this is the perfect time to eat, shop and show your support for Gwinnett Place businesses!

Last month, CID Board Chair Trey Ragsdale and Executive Director Joe Allen attended the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce’s Strategic Leadership Visit in Tampa, Florida. Each year, Gwinnett officials explore a different city in America to learn about successful economic development, housing, placemaking and redevelopment strategies that can be implemented in our region.
Trey and Joe represented the Gwinnett Place CID on this trip and connected with other CID and government leaders, including Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners’ Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson.

Attention Gwinnett: Construction Projects Underway throughout the District |
For roadway improvements, Satellite Boulevard from Pleasant Hill Road to Market Street will experience intermittent lane closures throughout the month. In addition, Steve Reynolds Boulevard from Club Drive to Satellite Boulevard will have intermittent lane closures as construction activities continue.
| |
There will also be intermittent lane closures at the Crestwood Parkway/Koger Boulevard/Pleasant Hill Road intersection.
Drivers traveling through these areas should allow extra travel time, remain alert to changing traffic patterns, and use caution when traveling near construction crews and equipment.

Tickets for the Annual MARS Event are Now Available |
The Gwinnett CIDs are proud to sponsor the upcoming Metro Atlanta Redevelopment Summit (MARS) event that brings together developers, commercial real estate brokers, elected officials, business leaders and community development experts to discuss the redevelopment plans for the region. Co-hosted by Partnership Gwinnett and the Council for Quality Growth, this event is happening on October 28 and will also cover the trends affecting the redevelopment industry, best practices for successful projects and of course, a presentation of the annual MARS awards.
Perhaps a Gwinnett Place redevelopment project will win this year! You’ll have to attend to find out: tickets are now available so grab yours before they sell out!

Volunteer through the Gwinnett Great Days of Service |
Gwinnett Great Days of Service returns Friday, October 16, through Sunday, October 18, bringing residents, nonprofits, schools and community partners together for one of Georgia’s largest volunteer events. Throughout the weekend, volunteers will support projects addressing some of Gwinnett’s most pressing needs, including food insecurity, housing stability, education, services for individuals with disabilities and resources for veterans and seniors.
Organizations interested in hosting a service project are encouraged to submit an application. Individuals, families, clubs and groups can also participate by volunteering for projects across the county. Opportunities will allow participants to support causes they care about, connect with fellow community members and earn service hours.
