Learning to Listen: Tree Tabling Outreach to the Community
Urban Forestry tabling at a community event in the park. Tabling is a great chance for people to ask questions!
Members of the community often have questions about trees, and tabling is great way to share all of the tree information you have learned!
Did you know that tabling is an easy way to learn how to better communicate with your neighbors about trees and to share information with community members in Portland?
This summer we will be expanding our presence in the community through tabling outreach. We plan to be at parks and street fairs providing fun, informational resources to the public.
If you are interested in learning more about connecting with the community in this way, we have set up opportunities to volunteer alongside Urban Forestry staff at several events this summer.
Upcoming events include:
Please note: Urban Forestry has a new method to register volunteers called Track-It Forward. After creating an account, you will be able to register for volunteer shifts and track how many hours you have donated over time!
