Presidential Search Update & Prayer Series Launch
Dear Campus Community,
I write today to provide an important update in the search for Valparaiso University’s next president and to invite you into a shared moment of reflection and prayer.
I am pleased to share that the presidential position description is now complete, marking a significant step forward in the search process. With this milestone achieved, we are now officially accepting nominations and applications for the University’s next president. This phase of candidate recruitment will continue throughout the summer, with the search committee beginning its formal review of candidates in early fall.
The Search Committee values the insight and engagement of our broader community. If you know of strong potential candidates who embody the mission and values of Valpo, I encourage you to contact our search consultants with your recommendations. Additionally, I am pleased to announce the launch of a monthly prayer video series created by the Office of Calling and Spiritual Life. This initiative is designed to unite and encourage us through every stage of the presidential search process. Each video will include scripture, prayer, and a blessing, aligning with key themes of the search. In this first video we remember God's guiding presence with us, and pray for the Valpo community and for discernment as we begin the search process. Videos will be emailed each month and posted on the University’s YouTube channel and the search webpage.
